Road to ISO Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Drata's platform is laid out in a logical format to work through the various areas necessary to meet ISO Compliance. Their support team also provides experience to guide you when the monitorning is not understood.
What do you dislike about the product?
ISO Compliance has thousands of standards, and many are not relevant to every company structure. Drata requires going through controls that are not relevant to your business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is slowly updating the platform to identify the areas that would be out-of-scope more easily. For example, physical polices are not required as a completely remote company.

Amazing Compliance automation out of the box
What do you like best about the product?
From day one, our experience with Drata was enjoyable; they have a very well thought product to help their clients achieve their compliance goals, from defining the desired scope to having examples of every mapped control.
Our assigned Customer Success Manager (Jessica) has been of great help and very supportive in getting our SOC 2 compliance process in place.
I recommend them big time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Templates could be improved with suggestions on whether certain sections apply or not.
Adding a probing period for employees would be a nice to have as well, as some policies would benefit from it.

Great platform, easy to use and valuable
What do you like best about the product?
Drata is a very powerful platform for us, facilitating all things we needed to get our SOC2 compliance, even the auditor had his dedicated page on Drata and made his evidence collection much simpler.
The platform saved us a lot of resources and made our compliance journey extremely quick and even fun.
The superb dedicated customer service, led by Noah Barnett did a great job and was highly professional to answer all of the questions and find solutions in a timely manner.

What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, there isn't much I dislike when I'm using the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly hire specialists to facilitate our compliance process, and allocate IT/Dev resources to make sure we are monitoring critical metrics regarding compliance.
Drata has been an integral part in improving our cybersecurity practices.
What do you like best about the product?
Drata's compliance experts are always on-call during business hours with an unmatched response time. They have been able to resolve any question I've submitted since becoming a regular user. Additionally, the platform itself is incredible user-friendly even for professionals with less experience in cybersecurity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not identified any downsides to using Drata's compliance monitoring platform. Drata should continue to add integrations into the platform for password managers and background check providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Becoming and remaining compliant with applicable information security regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST. Additionally, the platform has been instrumental in helping prepare us for audits.
Zero to SOC 2 Hero with Drata
What do you like best about the product?
The hands-on, practical approach to educating a SOC 2 newbie about the audit process and how to use Drata to streamline that process. Drata made introductions to audit partners they felt would best fit our situation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only minor downside is the inclusion of boilerplate sections to policies for compliance standards that we aren't trying to meet. (ie ISO 27001 specific sections are included when we have indicated we are only trying for SOC 2)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance can be a tedious, time-consuming task. Drata helps by outlining the SOC 2 process, automating much of the evidence gathering, and providing a single dashboard for both the customer and auditor to verify SOC 2 compliance.
Drata - Our Compliance Partner - Fast, Agile and Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Overview of our compliance status. Drata is superb in giving an overview of where you stand in your compliance quest and what to do next. Also, it is a breeze to manage continued compliance over the platform and stay on top of all the recurring compliance tasks. Having the ability to connect Jira to Drata gives you an edge in planning and executing new compliance projects or reacting to a change in no time. The Drata support team works fast and target oriented, all the meetings are perfectly prepared, and the follow-up is fast and precise. Reaching out to the support team is a pleasure; the reaction time is lightning-fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Drata. The service is fast and reliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time and manpower is the main benefit. We would have to employ more people for compliance if not managed by Drata. Staying current with tasks is a no-brainer, as you can export them to Jira.
Having Drata and their team has been a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
The tool allowed my team to accelerate our compliance efforts with less effort than a normal audit and gave us peace of mind. Their additions around actionable alerting help us stay on top of compliance. The team has always been helpful, whether making recommendations on better ways to utilize the platform and making recommendations on third-party audit partners to minimize our efforts.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have no dislikes. The team has been very receptive to ideas for enhancements and always has recommendations when we have additional needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping remove the pain of compliance certifications and routine evidence collection. This allows my team to step away from driving our security posture through compliance to putting complilance on autopilot and implementing proactive security controls
Drata is making the long road to SOC2 compliance much less daunting.
What do you like best about the product?
Great support from our account manager. Linn is always upbeat and informative and knows Drata's systems very well. She continually introduces great new features and shows us how to better organize our thinking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see better versioning or collaborative editing available in the policy section. We have multiple people reviewing and changing policies and it can get difficult to know what changes have been incorporated by another team member. Something more along the lines of Google docs would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The largest problem Drata is solving is the consolidation of all the considerations related to our compliance journey. Just having everything in one place so we can understand what we've accomplished and what still lies ahead is enormously valuable to our effort.
Treating a small startup like an enterprise customer
What do you like best about the product?
Everything w/Drata has been very straightforward. They've done a really great job at making everything super easy to understand and interact with. They've automated so much of the process, it's extremely intuitive and the team is so quick to respond - it's been a pleasure leveraging them. We're a small five-person team, and Drata has treated us as if we're a large enterprise customer. Their policies were a huge reason we chose them and are super useful. It's saved us a ton of time not having to make our own.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't on Drata, but I've realized how much work there is to becoming SOC2 compliant. Thankfully, Drata makes it simpler. There's not much of anything to dislike. They've clearly taken customer feedback seriously and built a really powerful solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to leveraging Drata, we had no idea all the things we were missing out on when it came to security. There were so many unknown unknowns that we were clueless about that Drata's automated system identified, notified us about, and then provided steps to remedy the issue. I can confidently say we are way more secure today than we were a month ago.
Also, the policies....wow, what a HUGE help. We had to build out other random policies due to bank requirements that felt like they took ages to create. Drata has a bunch of policies pre-built that you can edit. This saved countless days of work.

Even for beginners
What do you like best about the product?
Drata allows you to set up any framework you choose. I used drata to help build a SOC2 framework. Their policy builder is excellent to ensure I meet all standards and the customer service is incredible. My customer service manager, Hailee has been wonderful in answering all my questions and setting appointments with compliance experts to answer all my questions. Prior to this experience, I've never worked on any security framework and so far have passed my SOC2 Type 1 and working towards completing SOC2 with the help of drata. They have helped me with all questions via live chat or email support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there is anything on Drata's side that I dislike. Any issues I had were resolved by their team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Becoming knowledgeable in security frameworks and understanding how it all works. I was able to use their system to not only become compliant with the policies but also learn the process along the way.
