Great for Auditors
What do you like best about the product?
We have been reviewing Compliance Automation platforms to better serve our clients on management of their Information Security Management Systems. We came across DRATA for ISO 27001 audits and love DRATA!
Pros:
Humans: The Customer Success, Partnerships and Auditor Success teams are super supportive. Our clients utilizing the platform get 1-on-1 support from their dedicated Customer Success representative (great service).
User Interface: The DRATA tool itself is flexible, innovative and we also love the UI. It is ergonomic, fits our preferred browsers, and has a clean look.
Technical: When we found something that needed changing with the platform, the technical team worked directly with us to get our feedback and resolve the issue.
ISO 27001 and Security Framework Mapping: There are numerous security frameworks, which can be added on and customized. We use ISO 27001, so for our purposes it works very well.
Integrations: DRATA integrates with a lot of tools and services which our clients find valuable.

What do you dislike about the product?
Like most startups, the platform is new and constantly evolving. We are optimistic it will grow with the industry and fit with even governance, risk and compliance functions and frameworks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DRATA is solving the issue with getting security teams in compliance with security frameworks. They need to have evidence of operational effectiveness and monitoring. It keeps everything in one place. For us, it is useful for finding audit evidence and demonstrating compliance to ISO 27001 when we are doing an internal audit.

Fully featured, the endpoint agent is excellent, easy to navigate and understand compliance coverage

Some of the data import/export features can only be carried out by Drata support, need to make more self serve

Drata makes continuous compliance simple
What do you like best about the product?
Drata technology and support are top-notch. The platform was fantastic for prepping for our SOC2. Even now that we are done with our first SOC2, Drata continuously monitors our controls and alerts us to issues. This makes managing our company compliance simpler. It is also comforting to know it is continually monitored.
Drata support was fantastic. While working on getting controls passing, the Drata support team quickly responded to our questions with answers and explanations. If they couldn't answer immediately, they always got back to us. Our customer success manager also met with us to ensure we were on track to meet our goals, helped connect us with other vendors when necessary, and was always helpful in getting us the answers we needed.
I would never want to go through SOC2 again without Drata.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything we didn't like. There are enhancements we would like to see added, but the Drata team is constantly releasing new features and enhancements, so I have no doubt this platform will only get better over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance is time-consuming, and Drata reduces the time it takes for all members involved. This allows our company to spend more time on making our product better.
The most helpful team and software for security compliance!
What do you like best about the product?
The Drata software is incredibly easy to use and understand. This incredible piece of security compliance assistance software is coupled with an amazing support team. Any questions I had were answered swiftly and expertly. There are really only good things to say. The software essentially removed all legwork out of building a security posture from the gound up. My favorite feature was the policy center, which came equipped with expert level policies that were prewritten and only needed some general context replacement. This was supremely helpful since there was not a need for endless hours of policy writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were no downsides to using Drata. I'm certain that if there were any issues, the wonderful support team would have resolved them pleasantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata helps by having all facets of security available in one centralized location for tracking and compliance proof. They were instrumental in us passing our custom security assessment despite it not adhering strictly to one of the standards (SOC 2, etc..).
Great security and compliance platform
What do you like best about the product?
Automation for evidence gathering and controls is a breath. It integrates with a lot of our systems to pull the data. Single dashboard displaying the governance posture on various frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR, ...). Clear instructions about what is expected as evidence for a given control.
Employee onboarding on the platform is simple.

What do you dislike about the product?
No downside. Our CSM is very reactive and answers all our questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata gives us a view of what is expected for a certification audit, and capitalizes on all that already exists to get an efficient kick-start. The automation allows us not to allocate a huge workforce to progress on the control implementations and evidence gathering. It's the compliance companion app by excellence.
Stellar compliance tracking software with outstanding Support team
What do you like best about the product?
The software is outstanding for automatically tracking compliance statuses, but we found one of the best features of the platform to be the Support team at Drata. When it comes to specific questions you may have around detailed nuances regarding control requirements, the team at Drata was extremely responsive and knowledgeable in their answers. This made things much easier for our organization as we worked through the individual controls toward ISO 27001 certification.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to find much to dislike about the platform. For us in particular, we are a mix of on-premise and Cloud infrastructure so we weren't able to fully utilize many parts of the platform but that's no fault of Drata's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata continuously updates their product and is coming up with new ways of making the compliance/certification process more attainable for organizations. We've found their webinars, extensive support articles, and internal Support team to be extremely beneficial to us as we work through compliance.
Drata has helped us streamline our SOC2 roadmap to ensure we meet all the controls.
What do you like best about the product?
Drata helps in ensuring that our policies are compliant and our controls are understood and managed appropriately. This results in a lot of time being saved and in maintaining achievable milestones in pursuit of compliance. Also, the support we receive is helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. Great support!

I have no negative comments. Our experience with Drata has been awesome!

Drata is always working and improving the platform but the best thing is the additional frameworks that are being added.
An excellent platform for managing your SOC 2 Certification Journey
What do you like best about the product?
We are using drata to help build a SOC2 framework. We got off the ground running very quickly by using their policy builder. Not only that, but we are able to continuously get expert advice from compliance experts. We are able to do this via email, Zoom calls, or live chat using their "Ask a Compliance Expert" feature right on the platform. My teammates had been using it, but my mind was blown recently when I tried it for the first time. Within 5 minutes of starting the chat, I was able to get answers to all three questions that I had for them. Pretty fantastic!
Our dedicated Customer Service Manager, Linn Fritts (shoutout to Linn) and a joy to work with. Linn is very prompt in addressing all of our concerns or questions. Very patient and always eager to ensure we are getting what we need in order to move forward. As an added bonus, Linn shows up practically at every one of our regular meetings ready to demo something new and useful on the platform. I highly recommend Drata to anyone looking for an inexpensive but excellent platform for managing their security compliance project.

Managing our SOC 2 certification and automating the monitoring of the applicable controls all in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata is very user-friendly. It is a one-stop shop for getting your SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance completed. Using the Drata tool makes such a cumbersome process much easier to facilitate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only "issue" although I don't know that I would even call it an issue is that our audit partner is not familiar with the tool. It may be easier to use one of Drata's partners as your auditors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping us complete our SOC 2 Type 2 which is a BEAST of a project to put it lightly. Using the Drata tool allowed our team to move at a much quicker speed as opposed to not having Drata.
Drata technology is a winner, but people make all the difference.
What do you like best about the product?
The Drata platform is intuitive and very easy to use. It's the people however, that truly are the most valuable asset. The engineering team takes input from the user experience and quickly turn requests into new product features. The CSM team turns the Drata experience from being a SaaS platform into a SaaS partner. The combination of the two earn my loyalty to the brand.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very little downsides to Drata. I would appreciate more direct guidance on what evidence or actions are required to meet a control's obligations. At times I've found myself in a place where I feel that I have submitted the required policy and supporting evidence, but additional materials are required. More explicit direction to call out missing items would be appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is solving my problem of driving a security program and security culture through technology. Drata gives clear guidance on controls required to meet industry standards which allows for my security program to be metric-driven and show growth and maturity.
